[Quiz] Describe your bad day and I’ll give you the advice you need
Treat yoself. Love yoself. You’re feeling drained from the wear and tear of life, so it’s time for some much-needed day of self-care. Spoil yourself with a nice dinner and then a spa night at home with bath, face mask, and nails. Put on some soothing music or your favorite TV show. Light a candle or turn on your diffuser for a relaxing fragrance. Have some wine or tea, meditate, order something online, and turn in early for some sweet dreams! Don’t feel guilty about giving yourself some well-deserved me time. You’ll be able to face the next day as a new and better you!
Call up a friend and head out for some socializing to get things off your mind! You had a really stressful day and you need someone you can trust to rant to, someone you know will make you feel better instantly. Distract your mind from everything that went wrong in the day by heading out for dinner at a new restaurant, a movie, a walk, or anything that will keep you from home just dwelling on how angry you feel. You may not even realize this, but sometimes, you really just need to put yourself out there. Enjoy life your way! Get out of that negative headspace because a new day is ahead!
Cry It Out
Put on a heartfelt or sad movie that will get your tears flowing because you really just need to release all that tension and sadness within you (a Disney/Pixar movie will definitely work). You are feeling so sensitive today--and you may not even know why, but that’s okay. It happens to everybody. There are probably so many emotions built up within you that need a release. You will feel better after you watch something or listen to some songs that will help you to stop resisting all those feels. Let them wash over you, so that they can pass through you and you can move on. Catharsis is what you need, my friend!
It’s time to journal and self-reflect. You don’t know why you’re feeling so suffocated, frustrated, and down, which is why journaling is the perfect outlet for you. Just lay out all of your thoughts and feelings, and then the answer will be before you. And even if not, you’ll get it all out there. Your mind is too cluttered right now, and some organizing needs to be done. Grab a cup of relaxing tea that will loosen up the knot in your head and in your heart, pick up your favorite pen, and get to free-writing away all your concerns. You need to face your feelings, accept them, and then let them pass rather than reject or deny them.
Do What You Love
Busy your body. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong today, and you’re feeling a bit defeated. When you feel like everything spiraled out of control, you need to remind yourself that it’s okay to let go. Find something that grounds you again. Seize back the day by turning to something that gives you peace and comfort. I would recommend something more active, so your whole body and mind could immerse themselves into the activity. You could regain a sense of composure and self-worth this way. Sketch, play tennis, dance like a lunatic in your room, go hiking with your dog, do some intensive gardening, whatever will occupy all of you.
