I have moved on from Tamora Pierce to Jane Austen. I just finished re-reading my favorite of hers, and one of my favorite books in general, Pride and Prejudice. Is this basic of me? Hey! Hey, it’s a classic and her most famous work for a reason, okay? Who doesn’t want a Mr. Darcy to swoop her off her feet?

Which eligible bachelor from Pride and Prejudice would you wed?

For fun, I decided that this week’s quiz could be based on the book, so there you have it! Which eligible (and this word is used loosely…) bachelor would you wed? It’s The Bachelorette: Jane Austen’s Version! Let’s get playing!

[Quiz] Which eligible bachelor from Pride and Prejudice would you wed?
Mr. Darcy

Well, well, well. Lucky you, Mrs. Darcy! You got the epitome of the gentleman, the object of every woman’s swoon and sigh, the man to whom no one else can hold a candle--Mr. Darcy! He’s not easy to approach at first, but once you break down the wall, you will find him to be perfect. He’s sure to fall in love with your witty, strong-headed, but ultimately fair personality because you two are more alike than you may first think.
Mr. Wickham

Lucky you… You get Mr. Wickham, who has all the airs and manners of a gentleman, but which only hides his ulterior motives and gold-digging ways. He is always in need of money, cares not for your honor, and is duplicitous. Hopefully, he won’t do any harm to your naturally lively and bubbly personality, but watch out for how he targets the naive, giddy, and flirty side you have. At least he has a general likable vibe and charm!
Mr. Collins

Prepare for a life of boredom as you got Mr. Collins! Although he does have a colorful, somewhat poetic, way with words, he is a serial sycophant. He flatters his way into others’ good graces and is an incorrigible people pleasure. He also has his silly, embarrassing, and preachy moments, but at least you are patient and grounded enough to deal with it. In return, he makes sure you have your comforts and privacy.
Mr. Bingley

You are matched with the sweet Mr. Bingley! You two make an amazing, perfectly matched pair for your docile, kind, and sweet personalities. He will take good care of you, always make you smile, and want nothing but your happiness. The only problem might be that the both of you are too trusting of others, but you just need a Darcy/Elizabeth pairing in your life to balance that out.
Colonel Fitzwilliam

Who’s that? Okay, Colonel Fitzwilliam may not be a principal player in the novel, but he’s still quite the eligible bachelor and gentleman. Known to be affectionate and congenial with good manners and disposition, Colonel Fitzwilliam will you give a comfortable home with no trouble or tension. He’s a great guy, really. He is Darcy’s cousin and shares the duty of taking care of little Georgiana Darcy, which has to make you go, “Awwww!” (No one made a gif of him so I bestowed myself the honor of making his first.)

Got Colonel Fitzwilliam. XD This is so bad, but I’ve seen Pride and Prejudice at least 4 times before and I don’t remember him being in the film. Oh dear, I don’t even know my own future husband…

Looool poor Colonel Fitzwilliam! He’s just the forgettable nice guy I guess?! Well, “There’s plenty of time to know your husband after marriage,” according to Charlotte Lucas, so there xD
