[Quiz] What creative hobby should you pick up for self-care?

Self-care is immensely important, especially when you’re practicing self-love. When no one else, including the universe, seems to be looking out for you, it’s up to you to take on that responsibility yourself. You have to practice self-care to eventually learn not to count on others or the universe for your own life and happiness whatsoever.

[Quiz] What creative hobby should you pick up for self-care?
Art Journaling

You are someone who is always looking for self-growth and self-discovery. You are generally patient, always deep in thought, and always looking within yourself. It can be quite stressful when you feel overwhelmed, rushed, or looked down on, so in times like these, you can turn to art journaling as a way to put your life back together and regain a sense of control. It allows you to be introspective and takes you away from toxic environments.

You are a sweet, generous, and kind Hufflepuff. You are always looking for time to spend with yourself just to recharge and build that self-loving relationship with me, myself, and I. However, you also like to be around people because you are an amiable sort. Your favorite companions are animals. You are looking to just relax and get away from the bustle of modern life, so crocheting is the way to go for you!

You have a great sense of self. Some people may be put off by your independent, sometimes bold, personality, but you know that the most important thing is being you. Sometimes, you get frustrated when you feel like the world is trying to extinguish the light that is your spirit and soul or when you canโ€™t express yourself freely. That is when you turn to dancing as an outlet!

You are generally too tense all around, in body and mind. Because you are generally overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, and worry, you tend to feel like these traits determine who you are all the time. You are ruled by them, so you are constantly looking for ways to calm down and ease your mind of all that negativity. Coloring will help you to take your mind off things and focus on yourself rather than things out of your control.
Hand Lettering

You love to express yourself, and you do so beautifully and elegantly all the time. Relatively refined and pensive, you look to organization and neatness to portray your thoughts and emotions. You like to share sentiments, give advice, and help others in need, which can become a burden on your mind, body, and soul. When you get overwhelmed with this need to give, give, give, you can turn to hand lettering to do this while also releasing yourself of stress.

I hope that you will start the hobby and learn something new! Enjoy a different outlet so you can live a more stress-free life.

I got journaling. That’s not surprising since I used to journal daily (it got a bit obsessive for me in later years…) and now occasionally write from time to time. One funny thing is some of my journals look so unassuming. I use the mosy boring notebooks or $1 journals to write in.

Oops I meant art journaling. Like the ones where you draw a planner for yourself and decorate the journal! Will make it clearer xD
As for regular journaling, I really need to get back into it with more consistency. Must.. take… own advice from past blog post!! haha

Oh, art journaling. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ That might be a bit hard for me lol. Having to draw out a journal seems like a lot of work. The most I would probably do is use pens for writing in different colors and putting in stickers in the margins.

It being hard might be what makes it a fun hobby ๐Ÿ˜€ and no one gets the hang of it right away. But actually I get that because it seems like a lot of work to me too which is why I’m not that interested in it xDD I just like looking at pictures of other talented people doing it on Instagram haha. But I could totally see yours decorated with cute succulent and plant stickers! Those may not be too hard to draw, too. However it looks, the journal will be yours and for your eyes only ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, it is actually fun to browse the prettiness of other people’s art journals. Reminds me of my weird fascination with watching a certain YouTuber make cute sweets in her videos but I don’t really mind that I can’t do that stuff lol.

The journal would be technically for my eyes only but sometimes I’ve written as if someday someone in a faraway future will read it. XD

Haha I love that! Like someone far off in the future will get a feel for people from our time. With mine, they’d probably be like, “OMG we don’t care what you did in your day or what you ate for breakfast!” Interestingly, do people even write journal entries for their art journals? They always just look like planners to me with little lists/data for.. how much water they drank or what they got done that week, etc. more than their thoughts and feelings. Wonder why they call it journaling rather than.. scheduling (??) then haha

Art journalling! I tried once but I’m too much of a perfectionist for it to be very relaxing haha

      Thank you for taking ๐Ÿ™‚
Yeah art kind of tortures me because I always want things to look perfect from the getgo, which is unrealistic!

I know the feeling! That’s why I gravitated towards creative writing when I was younger – that way I could create things EXACTLY the way I wanted them to look – just in someones imagination ๐Ÿ˜‰
